5 Sharp Ideas for Sports Teams

In Lucas, Texas, elementary-aged students could purchase a night with local celebrities — players on the high school varsity baseball team. For $100, these “Home Run Heroes” received free admission to home games, a varsity player “buddy” for one game, and the chance to participate in the National Anthem with the team, as well as a T-shirt, photo op, and team poster. All proceeds benefited the Lovejoy Leopard Diamond Booster Club.

We see a lot of sports spirit wear and fan merch, but we especially loved this very official “storefront” from a high school swim and dive team. Their coach used a Cheddar Up collection to organize the team’s gear purchases — specifically warm-up pants, T-shirts and hoodies — aided by item variations to track sizing.
